Often I hear people joke that you "can't babywrap a teenager" or "can't have teenager in your bed" but they are missing the point. Like you said, it is about meeting their NEEDs. And what parent wouldn't want to meet their child's needs? So, so many. So many would have said, "Nothing to be afraid about" and left it at that. Thanks for this thoughtful post. I agree that it's a big step. It's HUGE! Which is probably why it's so hard. We did all our photos today... from the last 20 years or so.... 5 big boxes down to 1 shoebox of photos, 1 shoebox of negatives, 1 shoebox of old stuff we're scanning into Facebook, and a few albums. It's amazing how much we tossed!! Yay!! Thanks Cindy! I agree that it’s a big step. It’s HUGE! Which is probably why it’s so hard.
